KYB Corporation has announced a sponsorship with BMW M Motorsport, strengthening KYB’s long-standing involvement at the highest levels of global endurance motorsport and reinforcing its reputation for performance power steering technology under extreme conditions.
The sponsored vehicles are the BMW M Hybrid V8, BMW M Motorsport’s flagship prototype developed for top level global endurance competition. Designed to compete in the world’s most demanding long distance races, the BMW M Hybrid V8 combines high performance hybrid power with advanced chassis control to deliver consistent, predictable handling over extended race distances. The chassis has been built in collaboration with world-renowned and successful manufacturer Dallara. Competing in endurance formats that include multi hour and 24 hour events, the cars must perform reliably in heavy traffic, variable conditions and sustained high load operation, making steering precision and durability critical to overall performance.
The vehicles will compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC) across the USA, and also in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
