KYB\nhas launched an update for the popular Suspension Solutions mobile App. The App\nwill now provide detailed, part specific technical advice for a suspension job,\ncompletely free. The technician can either enter the car make and model, the\nVIN number, or the registration number (currently only available in certain\ncountries) and they will be shown the KYB part numbers required, and a detailed\ntechnical bulletin for each job. The bulletin includes an illustrated set by\nstep guide to fit the part, as well as the tools required (and relevant torque\nsettings), and an estimate for the time needed to complete the job. If there is\na KYB fitting video available for this reference, this will also be provided. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nlatest feature follows further customer research among European technicians, as\nwell as conversations with the KYB Europe Product Management department.\nHighlighting the tools required will enable workshops to prepare for the job,\nshowing the required torque settings will reduce the risk of damaging the\ncomponents from over tightening. Including the suggested fitting time for each\njob will help workshops to quote more accurately and plan more efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nKYB App is designed for workshops and has currently been downloaded over 7,000\ntimes across Europe. The App has two original features that are joined by the\nnew fitting instructions. The first allows the technician to suggest suspension\nwork to a motorist. The technician assesses the vehicle and inputs the\n\u201csymptoms\u201d the vehicle is showing into the App, attaching a picture if\nrequired. The App then takes this information and creates a specific vehicle\nreport, which is text to the customer, all for free. This report contains a\nbutton to \u201ccall the workshop\u201d- on average this button is clicked by the\nmotorist 1 in 4 times. The second feature allows the technician to take \u201cbefore\nand after\u201d photos when working on a vehicle\u2019s suspension. The App takes these pictures\nand adds them to a vehicle report that is text for free to the customer. The\nreport explains the wok that has been done, and the benefit it will have on the\nvehicle, and shows them the pictures of the old and newly fitted components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
